Cycling

My passion for cycling began when a friend kindly gave me a bike as a present back in 2009. A keen cyclist himself, he inspired me to take up cycling as a serious hobby. From that day I have been involved in many different cycling events and races. 


In 2011 I took participated in a section of the Kenya Classic Tour which was to fundraise for AMREF with the team from Holland, and hope to do so again in 2012.

I also joined a group cycling from Nairobi to Kilimanjaro in April 2011. We then climbed Kilimanjaro as part of Kilimanjaro Initiative and reached the summit after five days. Below are a selection of photos from this trip.

Currently I am part of a group based in Kenya and hoping to expand our activities during 2012 to include a cycle starting in Holland and taking us to Tanzania and back to Kenya. 
In the future I plan to encourage young Kenyans to take up cycling and to take up coaching, so that others can enjoy cycling to the extent that I have myself.
